THE COMPANY
Our client is the automotive division for Automatic Data Processing, Inc., a global services provider.

Our client primarily provides business management software solutions for the retail motor industry, as well as a portfolio of IT solutions and services including training and consultancy, managed networks, servers and hosting, telephony solutions, print solutions, PCs, laptops and consumables. In the UK, our flagship product is Autoline, the UK`s leading dealer management system (DMS) used by a significant percentage of the franchised dealer community, including the majority of largest 100 dealer groups.

The UK Region Marketing team is a function that supports the requirements of their services in UK, Ireland, South Africa and the Middle East ensuring an effective plan of marketing activities is delivered to help support their annual business objectives.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Marketing Specialist plays an important role in the success of the UK region marketing team. By working closely with other areas of the business and through the effective delivery of a variety of marketing activities, this role can have a real impact on the success of the organisation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Marketing Plan
* Work with the Marketing Manager on the creation and execution of the annual strategic marketing plan for the UK region

2. Marketing Campaigns
* Creation and execution of an integrated campaign calendar aimed at generating leads, building customer loyalty, increasing customer awareness and developing thought leadership

3. Copy Writing
* This is a vital skill for the successful candidate. With an extensive portfolio of products and services, there is a significant requirement to write compelling copy for a range of marketing communication pieces including brochures, data sheets, campaign materials, flyers, case studies, sales packs, press releases, newsletters and web content.

4. Website Content
* Responsibility for ensuring the UK-specific external automotive website and the marketing intranet portal are updated regularly with relevant content.

5. Suppliers
* Work with external / internal suppliers to ensure successful execution of marketing activities on-time and on budget.

6. Events
* Planning, coordination and attendance of external and internal events including product launches, seminars, user groups and customer days

7. Market and Competitor Research
* Assist the UK marketing manager with the creation of effective market and competitor analysis and ensure it is kept up-to-date

8. Database Management
* Maintenance and development of the various marketing databases to ensure accurate data is available for use in customer / prospect communications

9. Customer Satisfaction Survey
* Work with Customer Services to facilitate the effective delivery of the survey to all customers

10. Meeting Attendance
* Attend both internal and external meetings, where appropriate, to represent UK marketing, including product reviews, live meetings, conference calls and regular sales meetings

Skills and/or Qualifications

Must have:

? A minimum of 2 years relevant marketing experience, preferably gained in the IT sector, with a strong focus on campaign execution and copy writing

? A thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel PowerPoint

? Excellent copywriting skills

? Prior use of marketing databases

? Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively multi-task

Desirable:

? A knowledge of the UK retail automotive business

? A formal marketing qualification - either degree level or from the Chartered Institute of Marketing

? Knowledge of Microsoft Access for data manipulation purposes

? Previous use of e-mail marketing tools

? Experience of developing website content
