Maximo System Architect Job

GenesisSolutions is looking for independent contractors with Maximo CMMS experience to join our project teams as System Architects.  A System Architect works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant on project implementations, integrations, enhancements or other projects assigned. Duties are usually performed at a customer site. This person works under minimal supervision on mid to large-sized tasks and projects involving multiple products or platforms.

 

General duties and responsibilities include:

·         Responsibility for the on-site design, development and installation of complex computerized maintenance management systems (specifically Maximo), including add-on products and modules.

·         Ability to complete data migration, data conversion, and system integrations using MEA (Maximo Enterprise Adapter) or MIF (Maximo Integration Framework)

·         Analysis of customer business requirements and application objectives

·         Responsibility for project specification, programming, testing, documentation, installation and user training

·         Providing support to lower-level consultants

·         Leading or participating in periodic status checks with customers and teams to assess progress against plan

 

Basic Candidate Requirements:

·         Expert level skills in 4 of the following but intermediate knowledge of all:

o        Infrastructure sizing and installation

o        Installation of Maximo on supported platforms

o        Integration of Maximo to common ERP and other systems

o        Data migration and data loading

o        Maximo customizations using Java

o        System performance tuning

o        Database administration on Oracle and MS SQL Server

o        BIRT report development

o        Knowledge of maintenance management business practices and software

·         Good interpersonal skills and ability to convey technical information to non-technical people

·         Good documentation skills with technical information

·         Good team player; ability to collaborate well with others

·         Ability to lead a technical team

·         Good project management skills, particularly scope management and a strong attention to details

·         Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills

·         Ability to analyze and solve problems in a changing general technology world and customer environment
