Randstad Education specialises in the recruitment of Early Childhood staff across Melbourne. We specialise in Pre-Schools/Kindergartens, long day care centres, occasional care services, OOSH services and vacation programs.

This large, well established centre in the great suburb of Meadow Heights is seeking an experienced Diploma or ECT trained Director to join the centre. Being part of one of Australia's largest Early Childhood providers, this centre provides great staff: child ratios, excellent funding and resources, and enticing staff benefits.

The position would be managing a 140 place long day care centre, open 6:30am - 7pm, and catering for children aged 0 - 5. Your role would include overseeing all aspects of the centre - daily routines, staffing, ratios, policies, regulations; rostering; staff management; parent relationships; working in conjunction/reporting into the Business Manager; implement policies and procedures; attend staff meetings where required; ensure the centre is providing the highest quality care.

The ideal candidate will:

·         Hold their completed Early Childhood Teaching degree

·         Hold a current First Aid Certificate

·         Be experienced managing a team of up to 20 staff

·         Ideally be experienced as a centre manager

·         Be confident with leading and mentoring staff

·         Be experienced handling parent enquiries and conducting tours/orientations

·         Be experienced writing and implementing policies and procedures

·         Have a solid understanding of the EYLF

·         Have a solid understanding of new VICTORIAN regulations/legislation

·         Be looking to commit to a role long term
