Mechanical Design Engineer III

Successful candidate will direct the activities of design engineers in the design, development and production of Adjustable Speed Drives.
The Lead will schedule, track and support jobs department-wide in addition to resolving technical problems. This postion will support the development of projects from the conceptual stages through production.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
• Direct design engineers in the design, development and production of product
• Support manufacturing, marketing and field service in problem resolution and identifying opportunities
• Responsible for performing engineering work and applied research in the development of state of the art power conversion products
• Generate new product concepts and perform feasibility studies, including trade-offs, cost analyses, and simulations as required to assess the technical and economic viability of the concepts
• Keep informed on the latest devices, techniques and technical developments related to power electronics

Qualifications:

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
7-10 years of design experience in adjustable speed drives or similar power electronics equipment; previous leadership experience preferred
PRO/E Experience
Sheetmetal Exprience
Manufacturing Experience
Knowledge of MRP procedures preferred
