MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER Job in Surrey V3S 8S9, British Columbia Canada

Are you proficient in SolidWorks? Do you have experience designing mechanical equipment, as opposed to products? Do you know your way around a machine shop?

If you answered yes to all three questions, then you may be a good match for this job. It would be desirable if you also have experience designing equipment/machines involving pneumatics and hydraulics.

Interpersonal skills are important in this role, as you will liaise with personnel from the Machine Shop, Production, R D, Marketing, suppliers and others.

You will design new machines (from concept through to shop ready drawings) and you’ll engineer improvements to existing ones, based on the input of the key stakeholders in each project.

You should be knowledgeable about mechanical parts, materials, and hardware, including the best places to source them.

The selected candidate will enjoy challenging projects, a positive work environment, advanced technology, a growing company with abundant resources, a bright future, and of course, a compensation package that’s commensurate with their talents and experience.
