Description: - Truck Damage Investigator (VAB00000G2) Job Description Truck Damage Investigator-VAB00000G2 Description Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC, is searching for a Truck Damage investigator to join our Insurance Department based in Virginia Beach. This job contributes to the success of Avis Budget Car Rental Group by performing extensive research of all unallocated damage claims with emphasis on completion in a short period of time. Compile pertinent information of all parties involved to expedite the review and billing process. Direct focus in obtaining accident information of all unallocated accident packages utilizing customer service and investigative skills via phone, mail and electronic email. Continual follow-up on all worked claims to be rendered closed and/or processed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: See disclaimer below for further information. The essential duties and responsibilities as well as knowledge, skills and abilities include but are not limited to the following: * Expense driven (damage repair expense - not reported) investigation process includes assembly of supporting data and documents obtained through outside sources to assist in the identification of potential collectible parties. * Prepare and compile documents for submission for review and billing process. * Investigation process includes continual follow-up of leads and/or tracking down specific information through field contact - renter or driver information - towing companies - insurance companies - third parties - company vendors - Police Departments - or any other available source during the task of obtaining customer/driver incident description. * Perform continual follow up on all open claims as required through typical 90-day follow-up process. * Maintain expected productivity levels - (individual and team goals set by Department Support Group) * Maintain thorough records and proper documentation associated with the investigation process * Ensure all liability information is promptly recorded and reported. * Establish strong communication with field and support staff Required Experience: * High School Degree/GED required * 2 years Customer Service or insurance back ground a plus * Experience working in a corporate environment preferred * Experience within a car rental or travel related industry a plus Candidates must meet all minimum requirements and submit a complete on-line application to be considered for this position.
