Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of Adecco, the world’s largest staffing provider, has a position available for a Design Engineer Medical Device in Indianapolis, IN.
The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical design development services to our clients Diabetes Care Project Teams in the Meter Development Mechanical Engineering Function. Responsibilities include the following tasks:
Perform detailed part design and documentation using Pro-Engineer and other systems.
Assist in writing technical specifications and other documentation with Functional Project Leaders.
Define, solve and implement technical solutions relating to feasibility, development, continuous improvements, and product support.
Assist in transferring projects to manufacturing partners
Applicants should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of development experience. This position requires a person with:
A broad product development background (design, analysis, testing, problem solving)
Strong Mechanical Design Skills (CAD, Plastics, Metal Stampings)
Extensive Pro-Engineer Mechanical CAD experience including surfacing, 2-D drawing and dimensioning
In-depth writing and documentation system skills
Recent experience in performing structural finite element analysis (FEA) and dimensional tolerancing analysis
Demonstrated record of completing tasks in an urgent but thorough manner, and teamwork and decision-making skills
It would be beneficial for the person to have the following experience:
Experience in GDT and FMEAs
Regulated Medical Product Design
Development experience on hand held, battery operated, high volume devices
Global Supplier communication
Product Verification/Validation
