Mechanical Designer
A unique opportunity to join a leading electronics developer in various hazardous environment markets including instrumentation for the oil and gas industry and hazardous environments in the defence market.
Due to expansion they seek a Mechanical Designer - Electronics, Dundee to join their project teams in product development.
This role is based in East Scotland, commutable from Dundee, Montrose, Stonehaven and Aberdeen, paying £30k - £50k dependent on experience. This is a key role for my client as they look to expand their business and will be ideally suited to an engineer who enjoys working in a fast paced and challenging environment.
This Mechanical Designer - Electronics, Dundee will be responsible for;
Design of electro-mechanical and electronic products in a heavy engineering environment.
Tooling design for manufacture.
Plastic moulded part design (Injection, compression, vacuum etc)
Sheet metal work, turned parts - light and heavy
Skills Required for the Mechanical Designer - Tooling/Electronics:
Educated to HNC level or above
Experience in the detailed electro-mechanical design of products from concept to manufacture.
This will include application of Design for Manufacture and FMEA techniques.
Electronics packaging.
Moulding and casting design.
Experience of CFD/FEA would be advantageous but is not essential
