MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Our client, located in Vancouver, is an exciting place to work. This will be an excellent opportunity to establish a Mechanical Design career in a high profile national research facility. They are looking for that new team member, an experienced Mechanical Designer with a strong desire to contribute.
The ideal candidate will have specialized technical knowledge and the ability to create economical and functional designs. Good problem solving skills are necessary in order to resolve complex design problems. A clear understanding of CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD), machine design, materials and processes and industry standards is required. Strong organizational abilities, good interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills must be clearly demonstrated. A customer and team focused attitude is essential. Minimum qualifications will include a Diploma in Mechanical Design Technology or the equivalent, with relevant practical experience.
