My Client is on the lookout for a Sec Proc Representative (Valuations) for a 6 month temporary assignment. This role is based in Dublin 2 and there is an excellent pro rata salary on offer.

Role:

The Valuations Sec Proc Representative is responsible for the preparation of Daily PL, GAV’s/NAV’s and other aspects of the fund accounting service noted below. The Valuations Sec Proc Representative reports into the Valuations Sec Proc Supervisor for the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare daily PL’s and GAV’s/NAV’s on a daily/weekly or monthly basis in accordance with established procedures.
To process information on complex accounting transactions, record accounting entries
Ensuring work provided by TCS (Our Client’s COE in India) is reviewed and off a high standard before sending to Supervisor for review
Ensuring that TCS follow all relevant processes and procedures in the calculation of the daily PL and GAV/NAV
To be the primary contact with clients, shareholders, or brokers and resolve any issues that may arise.
To assist in the preparation of audits, financial statements, and tax reporting.
To ensure deadlines are met, by effective planning and scheduling. Possible supervising and training of staff and feedback on their development needs.
To assist in the group development by improving current procedures and systems.
To complete special projects and to perform other duties as required.
To research and resolve enquiries from clients and Account Managers.
To remain current with changes in the financial services industry, to provide suggestions for changes to current operating procedures.
To comply with appropriate internal controls within area of responsibilities
Ensuring that the client continually receives a high quality service

Requirements/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or an academic equivalent in a discipline relevant to Business/Finance, Economics, Accounting/Investment etc.
Qualified/part-qualified accountant preferred.
3+ years experience with a focus in the fund administration/investment management industry
Proven track record in NAV preparation
Experience of dealing with client relationships
Knowledge and experience of the functions and processes used at the department.
Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Accountable, taking full end-to-end ownership for projects
Good team player
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Good time management skills/proven ability to work to deadlines
Flexibility.
