Mechanical Designer - Autodesk Inventor
Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. ? Prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. ? Drafts detail drawing or sketch for drafting room completion or to request parts fabrication by machine, sheet metal or wood shops. ? Utilize AutoDesk Inventor for design-based work Education/Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Drafting standards knowledge a plus. Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AutoCad, Inventor, Word Processing software and Internet software. Must be prepared to take a skills assessment on Inventor and AutoCad to demonstrate ability with these software packages. We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
