Our customer, located in the South-East of the Netherlands, designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of (heavy)lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally.
Job description
The specialist is responsible for the development and deploy ment of chassis and front end component strategy for the Big Truck product line and FEA tools for BTDC. We are looking for an engineer for this knowledge position that applies experience and understanding of dynamic, high loaded structures in realizing effective and optimized design solutions.
The specialist is responsible for providing basic input to the concept phase of projects and works on the design and testing of components, assemblies and vehicle systems.
A further important element is active engagement in multi functional teams that focus on addressing immediate or longer term customer requirements.
He or she provides supervision to drafters, designers, engineers and (test) mechanics as well as external parties like suppliers and outsourced design groups.
Requirements
Desired qualifications and experience for this position:
Technical college/master degree qualifications in the mentioned areas, at least five years of work experience and/or high educated selfstarting.
Experience in the design and manufacture of automotive vehicles and/or systems.
- Skilled in ProEngineer CAD program and MS Office tools.
- Skilled in Pro-M and/or Ansys.
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English language skills (spoken and written).
Creative mindset, with good analy tical skills, well able to communicate ideas and vision. High ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
Ability to determine the root cause of complex production and customer issues.
