Mechanical Engineer Job in Cardiff, Wales Uk
Mechanical Engineer is required for a contract position based in Cardiff. You will have experience of In House rapid Proyotyping and 3D printing. The ideal candidate will have experience of Plastic injection and a molding background.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
· Managing own activities to update all required component part, assembly and customer drawings to a defined prioritization, creating the 3D model as required. Working closely with the Production Engineering and QC department to carry out this activity.
· Focus on achieving the drawing update schedule, providing a weekly update to direct manager.
· Working with suppliers to obtain dimensional reports of components and verifying the submitted information.
· Working with QC department and external vendors to obtain dimensional data for purchased and finished parts.
· Ensuring that all drawings are approved and added to the document control system following the defined procedures.
· Ensure that all drawings follow the standard dimension and tolerance schemes.
You will have Strong understanding and practical use of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Schemes and Drawing Revision Control and ideally have a HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). For more information please apply with your cv through this website.
