£23,751 to £28,626 dependant on experience
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Liverpool, Merseyside, on a 6 month contract. The successful candidate will set up and develop a new mechanical testing team onsite across all areas. You will work alongside the current Electrical Testing Team and report to the Utilities Engineering Co-ordinator.
As Mechanical Reliability Engineer your key responsibilities will include:
- Set up annual maintenance plan for new team and establishes and maintains planned and predictive maintenance programs for all rotating equipment.
- Carry out condition monitoring
- Maintain records on equipment histories and costs
- Co-ordinate with operations and maintenance supervisors/planners for needed changes towards increasing reliability
- Analyses, records and troubleshoots equipment problems, and makes procedure recommendations to operations and maintenance
- Diagnoses root cause and specifies method of repair for plant equipment
- Perform GIPSM and other inspection work across all areas
- Carry out Laser Alignment on equipment when required
- Develop new testing methods for mechanical equipment alongside Site Mechanical Reliability Engineer.
- Perform energy system maintenance and develop mechanical thermal imaging plan for site
The successful candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering background and experience, experience of working safely and to PTW.
Successful Mechanical Reliability Technicians will need a flexible approach as some work will be out of hours and at weekends.
You will have good planning and organisational skills, good communication skills, be self-driven and have the ability to drive improvements within the team.
You will have good IT skills and IDEALLY Condition Monitoring experience/qualifications.
