Ability to Obtain Interim and/or Final Clearances (Post Start) - US Citizenship Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Level 4/5 - This opening is for a Service Engineering Lead Dynamics Engineer on the CH-47 Chinook program. Leads and provides technical quality review of the development, documentation and repair of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design. May direct the development, documentation and repair of large scale, complex mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design. Leads the development, maintenance or modification of dynamic system components designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation. Performs and documents analyses, and may develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development and repair effort on CH-47D Dynamic Systems. Supports or leads investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Manages supplier development, test, production and repair activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals. Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of CH-47 Dynamic Systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design. May serve as technical consultant for disposition, corrective actions and coordination with cross-functional groups to identify/implement solutions and drive strategic improvements relative to production or repair processes. Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Trains, coaches and mentors others. Works under minimal and/or consultative direction. Directs and manages very complex project schedules requiring interfacing with multi regional or international activities. Independently identifies project resource requirements, integrate and direct multi project elements into a single collective overall project plan. Collaborates with others on the most complex projects assigned. Ability to direct, delegate and ensure performance of assigned responsibilities and tasks as a project team leader in support of the overall large scale and complex projects. Identifies and resolves any issues and provide solutions and or recommendations to ensure the successful completion of the project. Technical + Aircraft Landing Gear Systems Basic - Extensive and specialized knowledge of systems and equipment for landing gear retraction, extension and ground handling including retract/extend systems, wheels, tires, braking and steering design, performance and integration. Tire pressure and brake temperature monitoring systems are also included. Demonstrates understanding of the applicable scientific and engineering knowledge and routinely includes company-wide subject matter experts to obtain good information for the engineering decision-making process.
