We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Director in Southern California.
Qualified candidate must be a recognized leader in the field of Cell Therapy, Research Products, Therapeutic Apheresis and National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), including history of successful G-CSF injections. Candidate must also have an established record of scholarly publications and participation in relevant professional organizations.
This position will oversee medical affairs within the Company, including clinical practices, regulatory affairs, clinical education policies and practices, the oversight of other Company physicians, Medical Consultants and research and development programs within the Company. Assignments range from basic to complex.
Oversees Quality Program in compliance with US Food and Drug Administration rules; oversees and ensures compliance with all necessary governmental agencies and accrediting organizations.
Analyzes and monitors the effectiveness and relevance of Education and Training Program, including performance of audits and monitoring of staff performance.
Must be familiar with company SOPs, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Current Good Tissue Practices (cGTPs), and Safety Manual.
Works with senior management to identify, evaluate and implement new products and services offerings.
Oversee all collections, including all aspects of Allogeneic and Autologous stem cell, platelet, and all other cellular collections for research or transfusion/transplant.
Responsible for providing support to the Laboratory relating to manufacturing of cells for research, and platelets for transfusion.
Reviews and approves all cellular therapy, research development projects and research support activities within the Company.
Acts as Company’s Primary Investigator related to studies requiring PI and all IRB approvals.
Supports business development by conducting lectures, attending key meetings and general networking.
Candidate is required to have a current physician license in state of practice and demonstrated interest and skill in clinical medicine.
