Metals and Mining Equity Reseach Specialist recruitment
Macquarie Capital Securities specialises in providing research and investment advisory services to markets around the world.
As a market leader in resources and commodities research globally, we are looking to expand the European Metals and Mining equity research team in London. Our growing team is looking for an individual with a strong analytical background, good communication skills (both verbal and written) and the right intangibles to develop into a successful publishing analyst.
Working with a growing team you will:
- utilise and construct financial models to forecast and value European listed metals and mining companies
- author publications and company reports on metals and mining sector
- maintain and prepare client marketing presentations
- liaise with Macquarie global metals mining team
- attend corporate and investment presentations
- interact with Macquarie client base in support of publishing analysts
- represent the group at industry forums and corporate functions
- develop and/or enhance metals and mining industry expertise
- embark on long term career as sell side equity research analyst
We are looking for an associate with:
- ambition to work in equity research within a highly regarded commodities platform
- a positive, entrepreneurial and team oriented attitude
- strong analytical skills and financial modelling skills (proficiency with Excel)
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written (foreign languages a plus)
- a commercially driven mentality with a flair for marketing and sales
- experience in metals and mining and/or a technical background a plus
- relevant tertiary qualifications
