Metals & Mining Equity Research – Geologist / Engineer
With an established Metals and Mining research team already in place the bank is looking to bring in one further Associate to work closely with the team's Lead Analyst. The team already have a strong existing franchise so the associate will start immediately writing entire notes and building models from scratch.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced field engineer or geologist with evidence of a desire to work in the City, e.g. MBA / management consultancy / CFA. Individuals also with experience within Equity Research will be the preference. Applicants should naturally be highly analytical and demonstrate a strong understanding of the Equity Research space and have a keen interest in the sector.
Responsibilities:
• Write thematic sector and company research reports
• Prepare pre-results and post results updates on companies
• Build relationships with internal and external clients including company IR departments
• Generate value added investment ideas for our clients
• Attend company and industry presentations and conferences
• Generate bespoke/value added investment ideas for our clients
