If you want to get the most out of life and build on your existing skills, why not put your spare time to better use? If you have experience of all kinds of metalwork, there’s a part-time Army role waiting for you right here, right now.
We’ll teach you to work with every kind of metal so you can manufacture, repair and modify all kinds of vital tools and equipment. You’ll also gain valuable welding and metalworking skills.
You’ll need to be aged between 17 and 42 and physically fit, with practical skills in anything from driving and tool making to IT and research. You should also enjoy helping people, making decisions and working outside. Our training will do the rest.
Your first step will be learning basic soldiering skills such as how to survive and fire weapons. After that, you’ll be taught how to work from engineering drawings and sketches make components using oxy-acetylene and specialist welding equipment.
