Meteorologist – Leading Investment Bank
You will be working directly with their Head of Energy and Commodities, trading and be working on the trading desk delivering real time trade ideas.
Experience across the power and gas space is preferred as you will be expected to use your meteorological background in order to produce trade ideas across power and Gas.
Your responsibilities and experience will include:-
- Producing short term (weekly/monthly) and temperature forecasts
- Performing fundamental supply demand analysis across the power space.
- Monitoring and overseeing changes in real time weather conditions applying meteorological skills into the energy market.
In order to apply you should have:-
Around 6 years of weather forecasting experience
Excellent Communication skills (ideas need to be communicated clearly and articulately to traders)
Strong analytical skills
The head of the desk is looking for an individual keen to work in a fast paced environment with a passion for the trade floor and the opportunity to execute your ideas is a real one. This role would suit a bright, smart, energetic meteorologist/analyst who is looking to move to a strong platform and gain significant exposure and experience within the energy industry. Research candidates will be considered however you must be able to show an interest and a passion for trading.
