Support
Solutions, based in Rockville, Maryland, provides a wide range of
services in engineering, system integration, ship repair, and readiness

Services unit addresses the full life-cycle needs of U.S. Department of
Defense and federal civilian customers with capabilities in systems
engineering and technical assistance, system and subsystem integration,
operations, and maintenance. TSS serves every branch of the U.S.
military and numerous civilian agencies, operating the U.S. Army's
munitions plant in Kingsport, Tennessee; integrating communications
systems and developing and integrating precision tracking radars; and
providing design and support services for air and missile defense

The Ship Repair business is the leading U.S. provider
of non-nuclear ship repair, conversion, and modernization services. It
focuses on drydock and pier-side ship repair and sustainment services
for the U.S. Navy, other defense agencies, and commercial customers.
The Readiness Sustainment business focuses on customers' growing need for through-life platform support.
BAE Systems is currently looking for an experience Manager of Proposal Development. This position is offered as Fort Walton Beach, FL but can also be set in alternate locations to include Fayetteville, GA for the right candidate candidate. You will be reporting to the Proposal Center Manager and your duties will consist of a broad range of proposal development activities for medium to large proposals, including but not limited to working with the capture team to develop solutions and strategies; analyzing RFP requirements; creating the proposal schedule, outline, and compliance matrix; managing diverse teams, ensuring RFP compliance; performing in a time-sensitive environment; participating in proposal reviews; and coordinating and managing the entire proposal production process, to ensure successful delivery.
Required Education:Bachelors degree in a related field (work experience considered in lieu of)
Required Experience:8+ years of experience in the preparation of proposals in a
government contractor environment, including supervision/management
experience.Required Skills:
- Successful track record of winning large, complex Federal Government proposals.
- Process-oriented, responsible for clearly and persuasively articulating solutions and themes, and work collaboratively with other proposal team members, capture teams and SMEs.
- Experience with federal proposal.
- Expert MSOffice skills a must.
Preferred Skills:
- Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of information concerning specific projects or schedules.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing and exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.
- Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule.
- SHIPLEY training experience and APMP accreditation and advantage.
