The Phoenix, Arizona site is seeking a Manager of Lean Enterprises . Position will be based in Phoenix (430 employees)butsupport additional sites includingPennsylvania (240 employees) andKentucky (205 employees). Minimal travel will be required. Manage organization wide department responsible for establishing, maintaining and institutionalizing PS processes. Establish/expand an organization wide process management infrastructure and develop and implement long-term strategies and plans for process improvement using industry best practices based on Lean Enterprise transformation. Manage process performance measures, and ensure compliance to corporate mandates. Lead the integration effort to establish a Lean process architecture, acting as a liaison to functional organizations to ensure content is integrated into the QMS (Quality Management System). Support development of process capability to achieve targeted reduction in cycle time from product concept to delivery. Lead the development of a suite of PS metrics that will effectively assess the performance of PS, and manages the metrics reporting processes. Manage monthly metrics reporting to S2 (line of business), Inc (headquarters), and/or PLC (parent company). Manage the OAS (Operational Assurance Statement) process and advise SLT of actions needed to ensure compliance with OAS scorecard. Provide consulting, leadership, and support to promote a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging SPC techniques as a basis for PS improvement. Support the implementation of Lean Enterprise program for PS, including mentoring and training Process Owners. Manage ad hoc requests for process improvement projects. Select, direct the activities of, counsels, trains, develops and evaluates subordinates. Foster and promote a positive and ethical work environment. Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies. Expertise and knowledge of relevant profession principles and practices. Ability to lead a diverse multi-site team. Ability to establish strategic visions and plans as well as tactical plans for implementing established strategies. Thorough understanding of MS Office applications as well as MS Access. Highly effective presentation skills with the ability to present to cross departmental staff/teams Strength in planning, time management, and organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to train less experienced staff. Understanding of development engineering and related lifecycle elements. Knowledge of statistical process control techniques, quantitative management approach and continuous improvement concept. Training in Lean or Six Sigma preferred. Experience and education in Engineering is desired.
