The A/V Division currently has an opening for a?Marketing Communications (Marcom) Manager.? This position is responsible for creating interest and demand for products through all media platforms and will lead online and offline merchandising. In addition, the Marcom Manager is responsible for all media concepts and copywriting for all promotional collateral items. This person is charged with maintaining a consistent company brand image and product positioning. They will work with internal staff and outside vendors to develop media concepts and final designs, as well as coordinate marketing campaigns with internal staff--especially with Product Marketing Managers and inside sales to drive sales growth, market share growth and profitability. This position is also responsible for managing its annual budget and providing monthly reports on all Marcom activities.
Key Responsibilities:?
- Responsible for direction and execution of all internal and external communications.
- Assist in identifying and developing CRM plans with Product Marketing Managers.
- Work to develop and maintain A/V Division?branding and visual identity guidelines.
- Write collateral materials promoting firms products.
- Develop brand guidelines and ensure consistent adherence to guidelines for all marketing materials and activities.
- Conduct appropriate market research on competitive services and firms.
- Work on corporate intranet and Internet site developing and maintaining content, including video/podcast content.
- Create and update collateral, presentations, brochures, product sheets, fact sheets, case studies, white papers, web content, newsletters, signage, ads and sales tools with input from product marketing, product management, executives, sales, PR and customers.
- Creates various marketing materials to be used across various media platforms, developing creative concepts for consideration.
- Develop and execute online strategies that include search engine optimization, keyword search, search engine marketing and social media.
- Manage usa.yamaha.com, search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) programs.
- Create Power Point presentations for sales and management meetings.
- Constantly explore, recommend, use and optimize communication methods, vehicles and technologies to engage with various audiences, particularly as part of fully integrated demand generation campaigns.
- Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, will receive work assignments based on current campaign plans.
- Work closely with Sales group to develop new campaigns.
- Responsible for art directing, storyboarding and message development for creative design work for various online and offline ads, signage and marketing materials.
- Plan, organize, execute and manage events including tradeshows, customer and work with partners, industry and internal sales training team on events.
- Provide leadership and managerial support to staff as needed.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years managing professional-level staff.
- Consumer Electronics experience highly preferred.
- Must have budgeting and account management experience.
- Bachelor?s degree required. Preferred major: Advertising, Marketing, Graphics, Communications, Journalism or English or related field.
- Must have demonstrated work experience or training in advertising, PR, online marketing or similar field.
- Ability to create and execute strategic plans effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and graphical software.
- Excels at research, possesses excellent writing skills and the ability to crank out editorial and technical written material.
- Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
- Experience running a blog.
- Understands social media universe.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.
- Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
- Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
- Eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility.
- Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to communicate results to management and in a fast paced environment.
- Recruiting, hiring, training, and developing staff is another duty of the marketing communications manager along with communicating job expectations, assigning workflow, and appraising each employee's job performance. Preparing and maintaining an annual marketing operations budget is also an important task of those in this position.
