Description
Provide oversight of risk, compliance and ethics across the Information Technology function. Drive a culture of compliance, risk avoidance/mitigation and corporate accountability throughout the organization. Identify opportunities to build risk programs into the daily operations of Information Technology. Develop policies, procedures, tools, and trainings to support the programs. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and take corrective action when appropriate. Work with counterparts across all business lines to ensure policy/procedure and control standardization. Work with management-level technical subject matter experts to establish risk avoidance/mitigation strategies. Identify areas for improvement, provide recommendations, select appropriate solutions, and implement. Review, edit and approve RFPs and questionnaires received from customers or potential customers to ensure the Bank of New York Mellon response includes proper controls for information technology risk management and compliance. Manage audit and examination requirements and submissions; facilitate proper resource allocation and establish appropriate organizational contacts to achieve required resolution. Prioritize responses and expedite when appropriate. Oversee and coordinate SOX reporting for IT including documentation, testing and resolution of control deficiencies. Perform high-level analyses on open issues and audit findings; develop and monitor appropriate metrics, identify trends and measure progress. Manages effective and proactive working relationships with internal/external auditors, regulatory examiners, and lines of business to ensure that technology risk requirements receive appropriate and timely attention with the IT organization.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Preferred - Advanced degree, CISA certification or other applicable coursework. Experience: 15+ years
