MI Analyst Contract recruitment
Core Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for the production of timely, accurate, appropriate and user-friendly MI. The role will involve the jobholder producing a number of daily, weekly and monthly reports and associated analysis. The role holder must also be able to communicate articulately and effectively to all levels of colleagues.
Accountabilities:
- Be responsible for production and distribution of accurate, timely routine MI. Provide relevant and informative commentary for routine MI.
- Investigate any data issues arising out of routine MI and highlight to team manager, seeking guidance where required to resolve issues.
- Liaise with business on reporting, and analysis requests and issues. Clarify customer needs, specify requirements and communicate and advise on technical issues.
- Work with other business analysts to help specify MI analysis and process improvement projects. Assist other analysts with these projects
- Pro-actively seek to improve MI procedures and processes, making recommendations for improvement.
- Manage own workload to ensure deadlines are met and critical projects are prioritised.
Key Capabilities/ Knowledge:
- At least 1 year experience in an Analysis/MI role.
- Experience of extracting complex information from multiple systems and data sources.
- Ideally at least 12 –18 months industry experience in the use of appropriate analytical software to manipulate data (SQL, SAS, MS Access, Business Objects), however full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Intermediate - advanced user of MS Excel.
- Strong written presentation / reporting skills and an ability to document processes and procedures.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work unsupervised for periods of time
- Ability to deliver accurate work to deadline, ensuring a robust checking process is in place for all information produced.
- Good teamwork and communication skills
