Program Manager recruitment

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

Program Managers are expected to take full end-to-end responsibility for programs. They may manage multiple projects and multiple teams simultaneously as delivery progresses towards the target operating model.

Typical project responsibilities include:

Establishing governance across multiple IB departments and potentially across other divisions in the Bank

• 

Articulating business cases and managing large budgets

• 

Managing a team of 10 staff in the UK

• 

Maintain existing vendor relationships

• 

Some travel between UK and US

• 

Developing and agreeing scope

• 

Developing the program strategy and plan and structuring project work

• 

Ensuring appropriate level of resourcing and recruiting as appropriate

• 

Managing project delivery across multiple departments in the IB and possibly across multiple division of the bank

• 

Monitoring, tracking and reporting progress to the stakeholders

• 

Ensuring effective communication within the program (legal team in both the UK US) and out to external stakeholders

Ensuring program and project risks are identified and managed

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:

Essential

• 

Senior director level program management experience with a leading consulting firm within financial services or in an international investment bank

• 

Track record in delivering major programs in an investment bank environment

• 

Strong knowledge of investment banking business processes

– front to back

Desirable

• 

Knowledge of the process to negotiate legal documents front to back

• 

Knowledge of the banking regulatory environment

• 

PMI Certification

• 

Knowledge of using Orchestra system

The successful candidate will join a highly valued, senior team of ambitious managers. They will gain exposure into the whole investment bank, and specifically into our CDU program. They will work on high profile and strategically important projects and will be in a position to develop a broad network of contacts across the bank.
