MI Reporting Business Analyst
Immediate contract –City of London
£520 per day
Business Reporting Analyst required for immediate contract role in the city. You will be responsible for liaison with the Business for the gathering and analysis of group investment reporting requirements. In order to be successful in this role you will need a good understanding of the attributes used to describe securities (Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX and Money Markets).
Additional technical duties;
- Design and build of Excel templates to deliver on reporting requirements
- Support the business decommissioning legacy spreadsheet reporting
- Support the business in the day-to-day running of reports and resolution of reporting issues
In order to be successful in this role you must have the following attributes;
- Organised and able to operate autonomously to a project plan.
- Ability to communicate in non-IT technical language to business users (take end users through a technical process).
- Ability to capture business requirements.
- Good written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- A good understanding of relational database systems (especially ORACLE).
- Experience with writing reports using third-party reporting tools.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables; Linking between sheets; VLOOKUP).
Ideal but not essential;
- Experience of Eagle OLAP reporting tool.
- Experience of Eagle DataMart tool.
- Sufficient understanding of Microsoft VBA to diagnose macros.
