Mid- Level PMO Project Manager

Our Investment Banking client located downtown New York City is searching for a Project Manager with PMO experience for their US Regulatory Reform PMO Group.

 

The US Regulatory Reform PMO group is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting PMO, to create and continually improve methodologies and best practice standards in project/program management across the Regulatory Reform portfolio.  Candidate will perform a key central function for the co-ordination of activities across project delivery through relationships with all functional areas.  The successful candidate must be able to work independently while actively participating in a dynamic team.

 

Duties entail: 

1.       Provide Portfolio Level Reporting to fulfill stakeholder requirements on projects progress against key criteria such as cost, schedule, risks, issues and benefits.

2.       Work with the central CTB PMO to ensure consistency in PMO standards across CTB groups and promote cross business initiatives.

3.       Work with Business Management to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and ensure tracking and monitoring of Actuals to Budget

4.       Establish and maintain project management methodologies to ensure a consistent approach to project delivery is taken across the portfolio through the use of project management tools, processes and practices.

5.       Establish and maintain Portfolio Level Governance to ensure clear routes of escalation are in place and control procedures are available for managing portfolio wide initiatives such as resource utilization, financials and portfolio development and maintenance

6.       Establish and maintain quality assurance review checks to monitor the quality of project reporting and deliverables to drive improvements across the portfolio.

7.       Drive and encourage an environment of continuous improvement across project delivery within the portfolio

 

Experience:

·         3-5 Yrs PMO Experience

·         Advanced MS Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project)

·         Advanced SharePoint Skills

·         Background in the Financial Services industry

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·         Ability to work in virtual teams and in a matrix organizations

·         Proven track record of delivery

·         Excellent problem analysis and creative solution capabilities.

·         Ability to work independently, be a self starter and to be a team player.

·         Degree level and/or relevant practical experience desired

·         Prince 2 or PMI a plus
