My client is a world class algorithmic trading Hedge Fund with a mixed arbitrage approach to take the alpha profits from a volatile market. They place as much value on innovation and creativity as they do on hard core OO coding. They are looking to hire the best and brightest talents on the horizon to help them build up on their already imposingly dominant market place.
In return they offer Greenfield work using the latest Java based technologies, will provide you with the very best tools on the market to do the job, pay you handsomely and reward you with an envious share scheme. Exceptionally talented candidates will be given the opportunity to cross train if they have strong knowledge of OO fundamentals. The team also caries it’s methodology depending on project and you’ll get the opportunity to work in a highly Agile environment and used the latest techniques (Paired Programming, TDD, BDD etc).
You’ll enter the Fund in to the Core Front Office Technology function and liaise daily with the Strategists, Quantitative Analysts and Trading heads. Should you want to take your career down one of these paths further down the line, internal mobility is clear and encouraged.
You should be a Computer Science graduate from a top technical university. MSc’s, PhD’s encouraged.
You should have demonstrable Development skills in OO coding (ideally Java, hopefully some scripting too)
You probably cut your teeth on a Graduate recruitment scheme a little while ago and are ready for your next challenge.
And have a genuine passion for technical problem solving (ie can showcase hobby projects, Open Source contributions etc)
And you want to work hard and give yourself the opportunity to earn substantial cash, quickly.
