Middle Eastern Relationship Manager, Real Estate
A leading Islamic Bank based in London is currently looking to recruit a candidate to join its Real Estate team, reporting directly to the Head of Real Estate. The successful candidate will undertake a supporting role across a wide range of the Department’s general business activities including client communication, product design and implementation, relationship management and back office liaison. The role has the potential to provide the appropriate candidate with career progression opportunities and exposure to origination activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare real estate and economic client communication and research literature for distribution to clients and associated institutions
- Manage the development and implementation of the Bank’s various Shari’a compliant real estate financing, advisory strategies and product development
- Account management and back office liaison arising from the Bank’s existing portfolio of real estate exposures
- Identify and target new prospective clients and strengthen existing client relationships with a specific focus on the Middle East and Asia
- Key player in the analysis and execution of Shari’a compliant property finance opportunities with a high net-worth client base
Essential skills and experience required:
- To be considered for this role, you must have previous real estate experience
- You will have previous knowledge of and experience in Shari’a compliant contracts
- You will have work experience in the Middle East and the UK with a strong understanding of both business and cultural environments
- You will hold a postgraduate degree in a finance or economic discipline demonstrating strong academic performance
- You will hold the Chartered Institute for Securities Investment Islamic Finance Qualification
- You will be fluent in English Arabic; a further language a plus
Additional skills:
- Previous experience of both internal and external relationship building and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible with workloads and procedures, ensuring a smooth day-to-day running of the Real Estate department
- Ability to conduct due diligence and execution processes for financing transactions
