United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for Mill Exit Crewleader at our facility in Lone Star, TX.

Roles Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities Requirements:

Prime pipe is tallied by length, heat number, lot and skelp as it exits the Finishing Mill. The SO# is found on run sheet which gives the length and other information on the order.

Prime pipe is keyed into computer on Non-Revenue Tally. Each tally is keyed into Oracle after tally is closed out. It is keyed by Heats-Lots-Skelp with number of pieces and total footage of each Heat-Lot-Skelp. The tally is then turned into the office where they fax and make copies.

When the prime pipe is finished loading into railcars, each car is marked with the Shipping Notice Number on each Tally, number of pieces in car, date loaded, turn and Crewleader’s initials.

Reworks are tallied by Heat-Lot-Skelp and pieces racked down for later finish. This is showed on an Activity Sheet or on a Quip that shows the railcar number that it is loaded into and where it is going as far as HIPO or TPC. This tally is turned into the office where they key the information into the computer.
