Mining Consultant – Strategic and Advisory focus recruitment
Our client is a leading specialised consulting firm with an excellent reputation in the commodities world. The company is regarded as a trusted advisor to a broad range of clients across the mining sector in both coal and metals.
A position has been created for an experienced person to join team which offers consultancy services to the companies clients in the metals space. It is anticipated that this will be a senior hire and we are looking for a person who has already had considerable exposure to corporate strategy in the mining world.
The role will involve
• Advising clients on major strategic issues such as trends and risk and growth opportunities in global markets.
• Advising clients of government policy and how it impacts their business,
• Advising on regulatory issues.
• The study of new sites and developments and the commercialisation of assets.
• The review of clients investments in conjunction with strategic planning
• Transaction support through technical due diligence and support.
You should be able to offer the following
• Seven or more years work experience in a solutions based business
• Previous experience of delivering consulting projects to large clients
• Up to date knowledge of the Australian Mining industry, familiarity with the Iron Ore and Coal Markets would be most welcome.
The role is Sydney based, some travel is expected but travel is not excessive. The company has a strong commitment to a reasonable work life balance and has attracted and retained staff through this policy.
