Mortgage Loan Officer
Mortgage Capital Associates, Inc. (MCA) is currently looking for experienced residential loan officers to handle incoming leads and generate referral business. Our ideal candidate for this position should have in-depth knowledge of mortgage lending policies and procedures, as well as a deep understanding of how to structure home loans.
MCA is a nationwide direct lender servicing customers in 32 states. Considered one of the nation's top 200 lenders, the key to our success has been a combination of consistently offering the lowest possible rates and fees along with giving our clients outstanding customer service. MCA specializes in conventional, non-conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
Responsibilities:
- Originate, analyze, negotiate, structure, and close loans
- Deal directly with clients and internal/external support staff
- Maintain a high standard of lending and investing practices
- Work with Processors, Closers, Funders, and customers to ensure the timely closing of each loan
- Obtain documents/disclosures to ensure complete loan application submission to processors, and acquire additional information as needed by all support staff.
- Promote MCA's brand as the ideal provider for residential lending. This includes promoting MCA's services to real estate agencies, insurance companies, builders, customers, and other referral sources.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of mortgage loan origination experience
- Extensive knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and government lending policies, procedures, and guidelines (this includes lending guidelines, fair lending, privacy, and RESPA)
- Proven, successful track record of loan origination and funding
- Experience with generating self-produced leads through business contacts such as CPAs, real estate agents, and other industry related professionals a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter who can work independently as well as with existing partnerships
- Great organizational and interpersonal skills
- A passion for customer service
- Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment
- Experience with Calyx Point, DataTrac, Microsoft Office, and other software suites
- Active license with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
