As a Mortgage Underwriter your main responsibilities will involve:

• To assess borrowers affordability through income and expenditure and offer appropriate hardship solution.
• Establish and understand customers situation and reason for Hardship
• Clearly explain to borrowers the offer and ensure all information is documented and completed appropriately
• Track and monitor cases for 90 days to ensure no re-default occurs, pro-active chasing to bring customer account back up to date
• To act in accordance with compliant handling procedures, remain compliant and up to date with regulatory requirements

What we will be looking for in you:

As you can imagine you will need outstanding communication skills and an excellent telephone manner for these roles. You will be of graduate calibre or ideally be from a financial services background and have a good understanding of the mortgage industry. Negotiation, strong customer focus and ability to manage multiple cases so excellent organisational skills are key for this role. We will provide full training on these roles.
