No Security Clearance Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Leads or supports production of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes. Maintains and Defines the definition of requirements for materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture of products. Evaluated emerging technologies for potential application to business needs. Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. Maintains compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. Promotes standardization across business activities. Assists and develops and qualifies new materials, parts and processes to meet requirements. Integrates new technologies as appropriate. Manages test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. Conducts analysis to determine reasons for failures of materials, parts or processes. Designs, develops and qualifies computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements. Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs. Leads design, development and qualification of sophisticated computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements. Works under minimal supervision. Technical + Assembly Process Basic - Complete knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements. Preferred - Extensive and specialized knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements. + Computer Aided Design Tools Basic - Able to apply a complete understanding of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to build and manipulate data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files). Preferred - Ability to manipulate complex computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to build and manipulate complex data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files). + Manufacturing Methods Basic - Complete knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems). Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies. Preferred - Advanced knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems).
