This position is taking place at a well-known pharmaceutical leader in Emeryville, CA. This is a 6 month temporary position at 40 hours per week. HOURS: 6:00PM to 6:00AM (Tues/Wed/Thurs nights) and to provide weekend coverage Veterinary Tech: *Responsible for nightly and weekend observation and data collection for in vivo studies *Provide consistent and high quality support for in vivo studies *Support research service requests *Maintenance and sanitization of equipment as needed *Documentation of relevant animal activities *Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory protocols, policies, and guidelines Skills: *Strong commitment to providing Humane, Consistent, and responsible care to animals *Working knowledge of federal, state, local Animal Welfare laws, Departmental SOPs and Good Laboratory Practices *Strong communication skills *Team oriented *Highly organized and detail oriented *Weekend and overnight availability *Experience in microbiology and models of infection/inflammation are desirable but not required.
