Our client is a market-leading financial institution with an expanding footprint regionally and globally. The organization has a large range of financial services offerings covering a broad spectrum to both public and private clients across the retail, corporate and institutional banking areas. They have a very large technology footprint with some of the most complex systems in Australia.
Our client is looking to bring together the best Murex talent in Australia and assemble a new team to drive an innovative market leading program of change forward to ensure successful delivery of key business initiatives and future revenue streams. This team will be a critical part of the organization’s future technology leadership group with multiple opportunities past the initial two-year project.
This lead, high-visibility role will be responsible for building out and architecting the new Fixed Income, Rates, Futures, and Commodities platform built on Murex 3.1. This role will also play a major part in decommissioning the legacy systems, ensuring compliance, and building the global electronic market making and future trading business.
Requirements of the role:
- Demonstrated expert-level depth of the Murex product (version 3.1 preferred).
- Strong understanding of financial markets and associated financial products.
- Strong Back Office OR Front Office expertise.
- Architect-level understanding of Murex systems.
- Domain knowledge in any of the following: Risk, Pricing, Swaps, Bonds, Clearing, Settlement, Fixed Income, Trading Systems, Profit and Loss.
- Trading Systems experience is very desirable (ideally, Ion Trading products).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – be able to speak to the business as well as external vendors.
- Be a self-starter, team player, and a results-driven individual.
If successful, you will be one of the first hires in the most ambitious financial markets trading platforms projects Australia has ever seen. You will then help scope the dynamics of a newly formed team around you.
