NAS Storage System Administrator recruitment
Our client, a global bank is looking to hire a NAS Storage System Administrator to be part of their Global Storage/Backup team. The role is to ensure efficient operational support of the Bank’s APAC storage and backup environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and implement APAC Storage Infrastructure projects according to project requirements. Ensure the infrastructure deployments adhere to the Bank’s standards
- As NAS Subject Matter Expert (SME), he/she will be responsible for collaborating over specific technical issues challenges with global counterparts
- Be accountable and responsible to keep track of pro-active initiatives (E.g. Ontap upgrades / Firmware breakfix etc) impacting APAC region
- Responsible to design strategies and negotiate with key business stakeholders for scheduling and mitigating risks in a timely fashion
- Managing vendor relationships for continual services improvement, especially on Storage related maintenance services, pro-active activities etc
- Responsible for management of Global Storage Infrastructure incidents during APAC timezone. Provide the post mortem review, incident report and identify any proactive measures required as a result of the analyses
- Develop relationships with other Infrastructure, Application and user groups
- Follow established procedures and processes to ensure that Audit and Regulatory requirements are met
- Follow company standards and procedures including security and change control
