With headquarters in central New Jersey and offices in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Louisville, Cincinnati, Knoxville, Milwaukee, and eight other locations, you will be kept busy building on our extensive portfolio of existing business, generating new business, and closing sales. Obviously, this position requires a professional who is self-motivated, highly accountable, extraordinarily knowledgeable, and eager to meet specific objectives.

You’ll be amply rewarded for your successful promoting and selling of Industrial Control’s product lines to strategic multi-location accounts nationwide. These accounts will include top companies in our key vertical markets, including power generation, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods.

Major Responsibilities include:

·         Identify and sell to each company’s top-level decision makers.

·         Delivering effective presentations to demonstrate the capabilities of ICD’s products and services to a wide variety of groups.

·         Negotiating and managing complex contract approval processes from start to signature.

·         Prospecting for new customers and manage existing assigned accounts.

·         Providing ongoing quality and value-added service to accounts already sold, assuring resources are mobilized in support of the clients’ needs.

·         Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ICD’s product lines, services, catalog, and Internet capabilities.

·         Providing management with reports detailing action plans and revenue forecasting.

·         Providing market feedback on product, pricing, and service standards.

·         Leveraging ICD resources and expertise across all the company’s branches.

·         Supporting the account managers and sales leaders within the organization in development and growth of the core customer base.

Minimum competencies:

·         Strong track record of demonstrated sales performance and organizational support.

·         Effective communication skills to ensure a smooth flow of information when speaking and writing.

·         Business acumen with demonstrated knowledge of the industry trends and competition policies and practices.

·         Excellent teamwork skills to ensure delivery on commitments made to customers.

·         Exceptional ability to negotiate and close significant contracts/deals.

·         Ability to articulate ICD’s value proposition in a manner suited to the specific mindset and needs of the customer.

·         Excellent time-management skills.

·         Ability to travel a minimum of 60% of the time.
