Summary:
National Sales Manager will concentrate on data collection and analysis of sales-related information and statistics in order to accurately and effectively plan retail interaction. Produces proactive action plans that increase brand awareness of Company Products in the retail markets. Will create a strong line of communication from the field to senior management.
The National Sales Manager has a critical role and is expected to be a leader in the corporation. This individual must possess energy passion, energize others, engage in healthy conflict, execute plans, and collaborate with fellow employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for all aspects of company’s retail channel.
- Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
- Develops market analysis and reports to determine customer needs.
- Volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
- Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and positive, proactive relationships with retailer management ensuring open streams of communication.
- Coordinates sales territories, quotas, and goals.
- Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Direct product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
- Helps product research, information gathering and launch.
- Assist other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
- Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
QUALIFACTIONS

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree; or six to seven years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
2-5 years experience working with electrical distribution, or heating industry.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of an organization
Prefer experience working in a Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing environment
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interrupt technical journals, financial reports. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and or boards of directors. Demonstrate people-oriented experience ability to build rapport with customers both inside and outside Company. Ability to problem solve and manages details in multiple projects. Ability to operate in Microsoft office 2000 and all Microsoft programs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of the job, Primary environment will be ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to loud moving mechanical parts, and exposed to dust and fumes while working. This individual may be required to use personal protective equipment while working in certain areas of the manufacturing facility. May require traveling 2-3 days a week.
