National Sales Manager - Account Manager - Product Marketing - Sales Strategy

We are a leader in the sporting goods space and are headquartered in Champaign, Illinois at a newly expanded factory and office space. We are looking for a National Sales Manager to join our team!

If you have a solid background in Outside Sales and experience working directly with Architects and Engineers, this is the right opportunity for you!

What you'll need:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, construction management, or related field
is required
- Experience working with Architects, Builders and Engineers on specifications and/or client presentations
- A minimum of five years experience managing a sales organization with a quantifiable track record of meeting or exceeding objectives
- Superior leadership skills with proven ability to train and develop sales team
- Excellent follow through and responsiveness to opportunities
- The ability to work through others to accomplish objectives
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must be able to make decisive and timely decisions on tough issues
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time by automobile or air to dealer, customer, architect, athletic facility, and trade show locations

What you'll be doing:

- Manage and direct the national sales of custom engineered equipment to client base
- Conduct detailed analysis of territory and dealer performance and initiate action where performance does not meet expectations and where opportunities exist to increase sales
- Develop relationships within the dealer network and community
- Assist dealers in the quoting, bidding, and sales process
- Develop and implement marketing tactics to achieve sales strategy
- Champion new product idea generation, development, and launch
- Develop and implement specific sales, marketing, pricing and merchandising goals, strategies and tactics to reach and exceed targets
- Direct the way in which all products are presented to the market both on a brand specific and trade class specific basis
- Responsible for continual sales growth and development in the sports facility industry, directing divisional sales personnel and efficient use of resources to achieve objectives.
