This position will: exercise responsibility to ensure operations for Radiographic and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection are held within customer/internal quality requirements; communicate directly with customer to resolve issues dealing with NDT discipline; maintain records per customer and internal requirements and develop internal and external process procedures; provide oversight, develop direct radiographic and penetrant inspectors; review and approve specific component Product Criteria; investigate new material, equipment, and techniques for radiography and fluorescent penetrant; provide clarification for process and procedure instructions for NDT personnel; prepare, administer, and grade certification testing; monitor calibration procedures and schedules and review all incoming customer specification; serve as focal point for customer and general NDT method audits; provide technical support for order, test, and maintaining raw materials; provide technical support to engineering with review of scrap and rework; prepare and approve radiographic techniques; prepare and approve penetrant methods and techniques; maintain and ensure uninterrupted accreditation and/or certifications NADCAP, AS9100; achieve and maintain customer-administered Level III certifications as required. * Position may be filled as a JG 14 to JG 16 depending upon qualifications and experience. Basic Qualifications * Associates Degree in a technical field or equivalent NDT experience; * 4-5 years NDT Level III experience in Radiography and Fluorescent penetrant; * Must meet all requirements of Level II position and possess Level III certification to NAS-410. * Independent judgment is required. * Must pass annual Jaeger vision exam. * Requires travel and overtime with short notice. Preferred Qualifications * Thorough knowledge of all aspects of radiographic and penetrant inspection. * Sound knowledge of Quality systems. * Aerospace experience a plus. * Ability to communicate with inspectors on all shifts and maintain inspection records. * Ability to work with minimum supervision. * Be able to step into supervisory role as needed/required. * Understanding of lean manufacturing practices. * Self-starter. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Position may be filled as a JG 14 to JG 16 depending upon qualifications and experience.
