Negotiator – Client Documentation, Traded Products Legal recruitment

Experienced negotiator required to join our Traded Products Legal business area responsible for the negotiation and completion of Master Agreements and related collateral agreements (ISDA and ISDA CSA, AFBs, Prime Brokerage, Repo, Securities Lending and Exchange Traded Derivatives) with counterparties in Europe, Middle East and Africa, including banks, mutual, pension and hedge funds, corporates and insurance companies.       

The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating master agreements and resolving related issues, such as capacity, to ensure the optimum reduction of risk in line with the credit and legal policies/standards of the bank. This involves extensive contact with clients and their lawyers (including occasional conference calls and meetings) and liaison with our business, credit officers, and legal department and, on occasion, our external counsel.

You will be motivated, a self-starter, looking to take responsibility and develop, as well as being a strong team player who is flexible and adaptable and committed to providing the businesses with the highest levels of support and service and well as achieving results. You must be able to work under pressure, prioritise and respond to deadlines. Good common sense, eagerness to learn and good organisation is essential. You must be able to liaise, communicate and foster good co-operative working relationships both internally and externally. 

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a track record in negotiating traded products master agreements with particular attention to GMRA and GMSLA contracts.

• Graduate calibre / strong A Levels or equivalent.

• Confident user of MS Excel and Word.
