The organization has a large range of financial offerings to both public and private clients across the retail, corporate and institutional banking areas. They have a very large technical footprint that combine a dynamic range of technologies in an ultimate complex landscape.

The Performance and Capacity team have a very large remit, to evaluate and improve bank wide systems with a focus on high availability and stability. This team has been organically grown over the last 18months and now due to their excellent success record of improvements they have been given a wide remit and larger projects. The role is a highly technical capacity management position where you are responsible for analysis extremely large application systems and work with the business to project future usage. Then you are required to scope innovative robust solutions to provide increases in the key areas of Capacity, High Availability and Performance.

The next project on this teams list is the highly regarded online banking website which has been created predominantly in .Net Technologies. This is one of the most popular Finance web portals in Australia receiving millions of hits daily. You’ll be a .Net guru ideally with a solid design / architecture background and an appreciation for how the application layer relates to networking / infrastructure layers. You won’t be coding as this is a higher level / solution role with a broader remit, looking at the bigger picture to help identify bottlenecks, recommend solutions, streamline, tweak and advise on longer term Capacity needs. Experience with complex, high volume web portals is a must; examples of ideal industries include Telco, Gaming, Media, Trading, eBanking / eCommerse the focus being real-time, low latency systems.
