The Role
The Network administrator will work with other Production and IT team members to maintain and evolve the company's' production and enterprise IP network including design, build and maintain secure global IP network connectivity solutions between and within the organisations data centers and partners.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Install and maintain network hardware in global co-location facilities
- Create secure WAN connections between the organisation and outside entities using various technologies including VPNs and leased circuits
- Setup and maintain network log management systems
- Implement and support IPSec VPNs - client and LAN-to-LAN
- Using network monitoring and management tools, ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organisations network
- Maintain network documentation and network diagrams
- Gather and perform routine analysis and review of network metrics in order to identify issues and project requirements
- Support routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
- Support, install, configure, and maintain network device software (i.e. Cisco IOS/PIXOS/CatOS)
- Resolve network problems having varying degrees of complexity

Your Profile
The idea candidate will have 5+ years experience with professional production-level network design, implementation, and management
- Cisco IOS expertise
- CCNP qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience with Cisco hardware, especially PIX, 2800/3800/C4500/C6500/7200, VPN 3000
- Extensive experience with PIX/ASA firewall software.
- Solid understanding of appliance and software based load balancing (layer 2, 3, and up)
- IPSEC and VPN: experience designing and implementing VPN connectivity between different companies using disparate hardware - geo-redundant design concepts a plus.
- Experience working in a 'Lights-out' environment
- SNMP and experience using various network management and monitoring tools
- Experience with network leased lines including frame relay and point to point lines (T1, E1, DS3, etc)
- Visio diagramming experience
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, night and evening, and/or weekends as demanded by company needs - home broadband internet connectivity required
- Solid Windows personal computer knowledge and productive skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
