Dell’s Desktop Virtualization Solutions (DVS) team is delivering cutting edge solutions enabling the desktop experience of the future. This team draws together expertise and execution across Dell’s complete hardware, software, and services portfolio. As a member of the DVS team, you will define unique end-user solutions that help our customers reshape their desktop infrastructure operating model to radically increase efficiency through the use of advanced systems management solutions, virtualization management framework integration, optimized hardware and software stacks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Network Architect, you will be responsible for defining all aspects of the network elements utilized within the Desktop Virtualization solutions. In this role you will be responsible for:

- Selecting the appropriate storage network ingredients from the existing portfolio to achieve the optimal tradeoffs of price, performance and end user experience.

- Creating detailed functional requirements that address customer needs and driving these requirements into Dell’s Network portfolio.

- Evaluating emerging technologies and the competitive landscape to help our customers make informed choices.

- Identifying opportunities for enhancements to the Network portfolio to drive long term differentiation for the Desktop Virtualization solutions.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess expertise in:

- Network architectures to support virtual infrastructures.

- Advanced network routing and switching design capability.

- Network optimization and diagnostics experience and techniques.

- Advanced VoIP design knowledge and contact center Networking experience.

- Enterprise class data center Network hardware and services design skills.

- Network performance analysis and tuning.

- Defining and communicating an actionable design to a global development team.

- Multiple vendor offerings (Dell PowerConnect, Cisco, Avaya, Brocade, Juniper, Arista, Aruba, Riverbed, F5).

- Network management tools, APIs and plug-ins.

- Client graphics and client remoting technologies such as PCoIP, RemoteFX, HDX, etc.

- VMware technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, and View.

- Citrix technologies such as XenDesktop, XenApp and XenServer.

Qualifications and Education:

- Candidates are expected to have at least ten years of experience developing network products.

- This position requires a BS or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

- This is a senior level design position, requiring experience level equivalent to Cisco CCIE, Avaya ACE Design, Brocade Architect, Juniper JNCIE, etc.
