Network Engineer 5 (F5 Load Balancing)

Develops specifications for complex systems, design, and test load balancing, application delivery, and data communications solutions. Designs complex system upgrades. Leads the evaluation of vendor proposals, conducts network studies and traffic analyses, develops network architectures, prepares forecasts of network traffic and capacity, and recommends modifications to the network configurations that reduce costs or improve service. Serves as a high level technical resource on large-scale voice and/or data communications issues. May direct or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff. Provide senior technical support and consultation associated with F5 operating systems or subsystems. Provides 2nd/3rd level on call support. Defines systems software and/or hardware requirements and determines system specifications and/or customizations. Coordinates the design of subsystems and integration of total systems. Provides the strategy and design to build a utility for systems programming tasks required for installations, configurations, upgrades and testing. Develops new documentation, departmental procedures, and user support guides. Follows procedures to coordinate and/or implement complex Operationally driven move/add/change. Open to other locations. Basic Qualifications: 7+ years network engineering experience. Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years of Networking, systems, and F5 load balancing technologies Strong Unix OS knowledge 2 years work experience in technical support role working with relevant technologies Completion of F5 Basic and Advanced Training Experience working with LAN and WAN topologies, TCP/IP protocol, routers, switches, and firewalls in Internet, Intranet and Extranet environments Experience configuring and troubleshooting F5 OS version 9.x and 10.x DNS (Unix) Administrator Server experience/Product Knowledge Knowledge of networking and security concepts, including, networking protocols, interoperation with firewalls and load balancers Experience implementing mid-level and complex changes to production environments, including evaluation, design, execution, and QA Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and oral Recent large scale/multi-site operational experience, focus on fault tolerance and availability Preferred Skills: CCIE and/or F5 Certification Web Server and/or application administration experience Microsoft NT and Red Hat Linux 3 years System Administration experience Scripting Experience with GateD, NameD, SSH, TCP dump, OSPF, BGP, static and dynamic routing Perl/C++/Python coding experience Experience implementing and supporting GTM and iRules in an enterprise environment Wells Fargo is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V. �© 2012 Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.
