Network Engineer/PACS

Job Description

You will be based in the Chicago area with travel within the midwest. You will be working will build/support Windows 2003/2008 Servers, integrate VMware and implement, support of Cisco Routers and Switches as well as set up and implement EMC SAN/NAS. Any familiarity with Healthcare systems, PACS and DICOM is a definite plus. You will support both LAN and WAN technology associated with Medical Imaging Systems including: X-Ray, Mammography, MRI, CT Scanners and Nuclear Medical Systems. Some travel in the region as well as travel for training, meetings and emergencies.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prefer MCITP, MCSE or MCSA but experience in IT is more important.
  • Familiar with Network Servers, IP/VPN, WAN, Cisco and IP Communications a plus.
  • Any formal Electronics or Computer/Information Systems a plus (Military or Vendor Schools a plus)
  • Solid experience with Windows 2008/2003 server as well as SAN Storage and VMware a definite plus.
  • Familiarity with Medical Imaging, CT/MRI/X-Ray as well as PACS or DICOM is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will also have an MCSE/MCSA or MCITP and solid customer skills.
  • Prior experience in electronics repair including troubleshooting and repair of servers, desktops, printers or electronic devices.
  • Excellent communications skills and customer service attitude with Field Service expertise will be an asset.
