Network Engineer Job in Charlotte 28217, North Carolina Us

The Network Engineer will be responsible for participating in the design, integration, operations and management of certain complex medium-sized and enterprise network solutions. These projects will combine a variety of network platforms, operating systems, and network typologies and protocols. This engineer must have the experience and aptitude to analyze hardware and software situations, identify the root cause and implement the appropriate solution.

The Network Engineer MUST have a moderate to high level of experience with multiple technical areas in at least one area of routing, switching, firewalling or VPN. The engineer will also have experience upgrading systems to Exchange 2007/2010 and Active Directory 2008; VoIP and VMware or HyperV experience would be a major plus.

A minimum of 3-5 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable ‘hands-on’ experience with Cisco Routing, Switching, Firewalling, Active Directory infrastructure with Microsoft Server 2003/2008 and Exchange 2003/2007/2010. The ideal candidate must have strong experience with Microsoft Server products and Cisco routing and switching, along with remote network monitoring and management services.

Certifications – Microsoft MCSE or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent experience with the expectation to have those certifications within the first 120 days of hire.

Pluses – experience with the following

·         Managed Services – firewalls, routers, switches, and servers

·         Microsoft Server 2008 Active Directory Exchange 2010 Migrations

·         Unified Communications - VoIP / Video Conferencing / Instant Messaging

·         VMware or HyperV Server Virtualization
