Network Engineer Job in Fort Bliss, Texas US
Viatech, Inc. a DSCI Company is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with Project Management experience for the System Development Integration Network (SDIN) Services initiative, a part of the Armys Software Engineering Center (SEC). The position will be located at Fort Bliss, TX.
The successful candidate will provide network engineering support and project management in distributed testing environments and be familiar with LOA and MOA documents and processes.
- Must be familiar with DoD network configurations on networks such as DREN, SDREN, JMETIC, ATIN, NIPRNet, SIPRNet etc.
- Be able to manage a test event from conception to completion.
- Have knowledge of routing over the DoD network infrastructure.
- Be capable of configuring routers and switches in secure environments.
- Monitor the network and servers using a variety of monitoring tools.
- Respond to system outages and dispatch for repairs on hardware failures or restore OS problems.
- Be capable of configuring type 1 network encryption devices up to Secret level
- Have strong technical writing skills and experience in the LOA/MOA process Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with government customers and other contractors on projects requiring extensive coordination efforts.
- Work within tight deadlines to meet customers needs.
- Integrates overall goals and objectives across multiple projects.
Qualifications:
- A degree within a technical discipline and at least 4 years of proven hands-on experience working in a network environment. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of related experience.
- Department of Defense (DOD) Technology background.
- Working knowledge of DOD Technology Practices and Standards
- Exhibits wide application of standard Technology theories, principles, concepts, and techniques, plus a working knowledge of Technology related disciplines.
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
